He precious to know why the dwarves were in his forest, but no one would tell. So the tabby put them in jail cells. Bilbo was hidden the all told time so he was not in a cell. He said his good byes and went home. When he got there, lots of people were at his hobbit hole. Since Bilbo was deceased so long, they enounce him dead.
