Christianity Judaism Sermon on the mount World religion.

Let me say a brief word somewhat this week....of whole the weeks we post, two ar the most problematic, the week we post ab come out Christianity (where a portion of the students feel the need to tell everyone how proficient they are and how wrong everyone who doesnt agree with them is) and Islam (where again, a few students extremity to point out how wrong that religion is and how correct theirs...always Christianity...is). So let me remind you, this is a class where we follow the master that we are studying religion critically - to understand its military group and weaknesses, or simply to appreciate different religious teaching. Its non a class about your faith, which you are free to have. notwithstanding faith isnt the same as inquiry -- and were about inquiry. So go light on the spiritual one-ups-manship, no this is the truest social occasion Ive ever read and anyone who doesnt see it just is an idiot and no trying to convert anyone. You can do that in the early(a) 23 hours and 30 minutes of your day. Respect that fact that smart, humane and loving people may NOT agree with your beliefs, and that doesnt mother them wrong, it just makes them different. And theres nothing wrong with that.
